Frequently Asked Questions
Do you make custom dresses?
At this time we do not make any custom garments. We produce unique ready-to-wear clothing using handmade small-scale production techniques. We do not currently have enough staff to support a custom boutique, but it is a possibility in the future.
Can I get a dress in a different size?
All of our garments are one of a kind. Because of our sustainable sourcing methods, we are not able to accommodate specific fabric requests. We select exceptional quality deadstock, available in very limited quantities. By the time a product is up for sale, the supply of that specific fabric has already been used.
Where are you located?
Our manufacturing hub and showroom is located near downtown Colorado Springs, at 513 W. Colorado. We keep our production local to support our sewing community and reduce our carbon footprint. All of our operations take place within 100 miles of our showroom- even production of packaging and shipping supplies.
Do you accept returns?
We have a 30-day return policy on unworn items that still have their cedar sachet attached. For more information, see our Return Policy.
Who sews your garments?
Every dress and skirt is handmade by a skilled artisan working along the front range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Garments are sewn one at a time, from start to finish, by a talented local sewist who has been paid a skilled wage. Their signature can be found on the care tag of each piece.
What do you mean by factory-free?
The factory system values speed over skill. This production structure is often exploitative to garment workers, particularly those working in overseas markets. Moving away from the traditional mass manufacturing model helps us achieve fair, safe, and healthy working conditions for all of our workers. Small scale production also allows for more efficient and sustainable use of materials, reducing waste and environmental impact.
