Low-Waste Production
Small-scale production allows for more efficient and thoughtful use of materials, both in our manufacturing process and in the garments themselves. Using existing fabric rather than creating new textiles avoids CO2 emissions, unnecessary water usage, and harmful pollution.
We cut each fabric piece by hand, allowing us to maximize material efficiency and reduce fabric waste. None of our textile scraps ever go in the garbage. We donate all the leftovers to a local arts organization (the Manitou Art Center) for reuse by textile artists.
Our local labor force and mainstream third-party distribution channels have the lowest possible environmental impact. We prioritize products with recycled content. We choose production and storage solutions that are reusable or recyclable and have eliminated single-use plastic from our manufacturing process.
We provide a reusable sachet rather than using disposable hang tags. Our shipping materials come from a Colorado supplier, EcoEnclose, ensuring that all our packaging is locally sourced, plastic-free, and fully compostable- even the tape.
